It is with the deepest regret that we announce the sad death on April 29th of Randal Gill, the Society's President - Obituary. We extend our sincere condolences to his family.

The North of Ireland Family History Society (NIFHS) is a voluntary non profit-making organisation encouraging an interest in family history.

The objective of the Society is to foster an interest in family history with special reference to families who have roots in the North of Ireland and their descendants, wherever they may be.

The Society began in 1979 as a group of people interested in family history and now has many Branches in the North of Ireland and hundreds of Associate members in countries worldwide.

The Society is not a Research Agency, although we do like to put people in contact with one another and share information.
