North Irish Roots is published twice yearly and is the means for members to
have their interests broadcast to other members worldwide.
Members may submit a 'Profile Form' with details of Names being Researched, and
these details are published in the next available issue. In this way members
researching the same surname or area are able to contact each other. Also
published are Special Queries of up to 50 words and offers of Reciprocal
Research. Click for a Profile Form to apply or click
on Member's Interests to see recent
examples of some of these.
As well as Members' Interests, the Editorial Team include in the journal a wide
range of articles of interest on family history related subjects, often
involving original research and lists of names not readily available elsewhere.
Some examples of other items can be seen at Articles
from Earlier Editions.

North
Irish Roots was first published in
1984, and has proved popular with members, especially overseas ones, for whom it
is the starting point for contacts and information about their Irish forebears.
Copies remain of most of the recent volumes, although many of the earlier issues are
out of print. The Society therefore decided to produce an index to all the
volumes, to assist new members and to give old members a handy guide as to what
subjects have been covered. The index, which includes an order
form, also gives details how to obtain copies of articles in out-of-print
issues.
The
Index costs £2 including postage (£3 overseas) and may be obtained from the
General Secretary at the Society’s usual address or by mail order using our
Order Form
