Product Description

Ballymacarrett Methodist Church and Graveyard, Belfast.

Published October 2020.

A5 booklet, 41 pages

This is a short history of Ballymacarrett Methodist Church and Graveyard, where many local families and founding fathers of the Methodist Church in Ireland were buried.

No official records survive of those who were buried in this graveyard so, in an attempt to fill that record gap, information from the Wesley Historical Society, letters to the Editor of the Christian Advocate (the Irish Methodist Weekly Journal of the time), the Belfast News-Letter and Journals of the East Belfast Historical Society have been used to create some of that history and to produce a list of those burials. This is a brief history of the graveyard and its ultimate ‘burial’!
