Belfast Branch launched their latest project at PRONI on Wednesday aiming to explore Belfast’s shipbuilding and engineering heritage through the 1911 Census, reconstructing the lives of the men and women behind the shipyards.
Those Members that attended will be researching the various aspects of the Project with a view to publishing their findings. The profiles of the shipyard workers will be added to Wikitree and will contribute to the Great North of Ireland Family Tree
Belfast Branch members can read more about it in the Branch Rooms section of the Members’ area on our website and if any of them want to get involved, they can email the Branch secretary.
