Ballymena

Welcome to the Ballymena Branch of the North of Ireland Family History Society

We are a local community with an interest in family history research and whether you are an expert or a novice, you are welcome to join us.

Through our meetings, we aim to help you find resources to develop your research, break down brick walls and learn more about local historical stories. Let us help you on your genealogical journey.

If you have any questions about joining our Branch or would like to join one of our monthly meetings, please email the Branch using the button on the right. If that doesn’t open your email account, it might be your computer settings. You can also message us via our Contact page.

Monthly Meetings

Ballymena Branch meets on the last Thursday of the month at 7:15 pm from September to May. Meetings are mainly hybrid, so in-person and by Zoom.

These meetings are an opportunity for Members to hear about what is happening in the Branch and in the wider Society. Many of the meetings feature an interesting presentation given by a guest speaker. The branch also organises visits to historical centres and genealogical repositories.

Ballymena Branch members will receive the link by email in advance of each meeting – anyone else interested in attending a talk can request the link from the Branch.
