Monthly Branch Meeting

The Wandering Swallow – The story of Josephine Bracken, from Ballycarry origins to Philippine Icon, a talk by George McGrand. Josephine Bracken’s mother was a McBride from Ballycarry/Islandmagee. This story covers romance, betrayal and revolution. Today the legacy of our wee girl lives on in the hearts of the Philippine people, with several films being made about her extraordinary life, streets named in her honour and Governmental visits to her grave.

In-person and via Zoom. Branch members will receive the link by email in advance of each meeting – anyone else interested in attending can request the link from the Branch secretary using the button on the right.
