The 2019 NIFHS Annual General Meeting
The 2019 NIFHS Annual General Meeting, which this year was hosted by the Lisburn Branch, was held in Seymour Street Methodist Church.
For the 40th Anniversary of the Society Lisburn Branch prepared a book of sources for Blaris Parish, which is partly in Co. Antrim and partly in Co. Down, and is the first NIFHS book for a single parish.
Councillor Alan Givan, the Mayor of Lisburn & Castlereagh City Council, attended the AGM and was presented with a copy of the Blaris book, as well as a scroll containing his family tree which had been researched by Lisburn Secretary Elizabeth Scott.
After lunch the day concluded with visits to the Irish Linen Centre and Castle Gardens.
