Getting to the Research Centre

How to find us.

Directions to the NIFHS Research Centre at Valley Business Centre, whether you’re arriving by car, bus, or train. On-site parking is free, and clear signs will guide you to Unit C4 in Aisle C.

By Car: 

From Belfast via M2: Take the exit to Greencastle merge onto Shore Rd A2, Turn left onto Longwood Road, pass Abbeycentre and at roundabout take 2nd exit onto Church Rd. On left pass Tesco and Valley Leisure Centre, Valley Business Centre is on right before next roundabout.

From North via M2: Exit at Glengormley slip road, drive through Glengormley and down Antrim Road A6, turn left onto O’Neill Road and down to roundabout at Carnmoney Cemetery. Take 3rd exit onto Church Road. Take first left into Valley Business Centre.

By Bus: 

Service 2D from Belfast. Alight at the stop for Valley Leisure Centre on Church Road, walk uphill for ½ mile to the Valley Business Centre on right hand side.

By Rail: 

The nearest train stations to the Research Centre are Whiteabbey Station and Mossley West Station using the Larne or Londonderry/Derry lines. There is no taxi rank at either station so you will need to pre-order a taxi to get to the Research Centre.

Once you have reached Valley Business Centre:

Free parking is available all around the buildings. The Units are located via 3 covered traffic aisles i.e. A, B & C – NIFHS is in Aisle C.

There are two ways to get to the Research Centre:

• This way avoids the stairs. Drive past the Security Hut and keep straight on up the ramp onto upper parking. This is one-way and you may park anywhere. Walk to Aisle C on the right as you face the building and Unit 4 is second on right.
• Drive past the Security Hut and immediately turn right, go round back of reception building – free parking all round here. Walk into the entrance with the café to left and stairs ahead. Go upstairs and turn right into Aisle C. Unit C4 is second on right.
