What is in the Searchable Index?
The Searchable Index allows you to search some of the indexes of many records that have been transcribed by the Society. These records come from all sorts of sources, such as Church Records, Gravestone Inscriptions, Journals and more.
Members of the Society who are not able to visit the Research Centre to see the records can request a Look-up and one of our volunteers will supply the relevant details by email normally within 10 days of the request. Please note there is a maximum of 5 look ups per individual request. Members also have access to indexes of other records that have not yet been included in the Searchable Index by logging into the Members’ area.
The searchable index is a work in progress and there are many more indexes still to be added. Make sure you check back regularly.
Everyone is welcome to visit the Research Centre on Tuesdays or Thursdays to explore all records held by the Society.
