Just 12 miles of sea lie between Northern Ireland and Scotland so it’s no wonder there are so many family links between the two areas. One aspect of this story is of the Ulster-Scots community and how they influenced the customs, language and heritage of Ulster as well as further afield. Alongside covering the bigger picture, our speaker will be focusing on the South Antrim area. Everyone is very welcome (in person or online) and, as well as Scottish and local people, North Americans with Scotch-Irish roots may be particularly interested in learning more about this aspect of their heritage.
